Where a guide recommends equipment — a commercial espresso machine, a card reader, a generator, and so on — the "check current prices on Amazon" links carry our Associates tag, brightloopmed-21.
These are search links to Amazon's own results for that item, not links to one specific product we have tested or are endorsing. If you buy anything on Amazon after clicking through, not just the item pictured or searched for, we may earn a commission on that order. Amazon Associates is currently the only affiliate programme running on this site, and every guide that uses it carries this line directly beneath the links: "As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. These are search links, not specific product endorsements."
Other affiliate relationships
We may add other affiliate relationships in future — for example with business banking, accounting software, insurance or company formation providers relevant to the guides on this site. Any new affiliate relationship will be disclosed clearly on the page where the link appears, and this page will be updated to name it, before it goes live. The same standard applies to every one: clear, upfront, unavoidable disclosure, not a link buried in small print.
Editorial independence
Whether we include a product, service or provider in a guide is based on whether it is genuinely relevant to that guide's topic, not on whether an affiliate commission is available for it. Cost figures and recommendations are not adjusted to favour a paying partner over a more accurate or more useful alternative.
